CORE Chairman Roy Innis said a “poverty
of information” exists in our community about healthcare. People are
either not aware of or don’t understand the changes being made and the
options available to them in the areas of health insurance and discount
prescription drug plans. CORE intends to bolster communication between the
medical industry, health professionals and the community.

Healthcare
Initiative
This new initiative marks the CORE
Chairman’s return to the health industry. He has come full circle--from a
medical researcher to a civil rights leader and now an advocate for equal
access to healthcare information. Mr. Innis says that health, and the
right to information about health and medical treatment, is a fundamental
civil and human right.

is A Civil Right"
